Greece in the centre of the 'Global Golf Map'

For many years, Greece's golfers had a limited number of courses from which to choose, Glyfada in Athens, Rhodes, Corfu and Crete. Two new courses were created, one at Porto Carras in Halkidiki and another one in Crete and their success proved the need for more golf courses throughout Greece.

At the moment major golf resort, residential and leisure-integrated real estate projects getting underway in Greece and within the next five years Greece will boast an additional 10 major golf destinations may be even more.

Greece is becoming the centre of attention in the international investment community and business people beleive that now is the perfect time for Greece to be upon the 'global golf map' after years of neglect. Numerous projects are proceeding spurred on by the new legislation, the locations available and the strong interest by the current Greek government. Also taking into consideration that more than 200,000 visitors to Greece annually are potential golf tourists, the advantages in climatic conditions and the natural beauty of Greece makes it easy to understand the reasons that can make it one of the favourite destinations of golfers around the world. Exciting courses at spectacular locations will turn Greece into Europe's 'number one' holiday and retirement home market now that golf is gaining more lovers rapidly on a worldwide scale, and has come to be appreciated as a most beneficial physical activity.

2009 and Real Estate news is there any ??

There are so many things you can write about today’s Global Real Estate market but where do you begin??
My advice is forget the news and start getting your positive head on, its tough we all know but hey just this last week we were seeing a resurgence of the UK pound vs the Euro, Monday 2- Feb- 2009 saw the week open at an interbank rate of 1.10 and as at Friday 6-2-2009 we were at 1.15, not all bad news, the Bank of England has reduced interest rates to a low of 1% ( European central bank electing to remain at 2% ).

Property prices offer some exceptional opportunities today throughout the world, at GoldAcre Estates we have some Great examples of this with studios starting from 45,000 Euros and one bedroom apartments from 54,000 Euros, Villas from as little as 135,000 Euros, the time has to be now!
By taking a euro mortgage you can mitigate your exchange rate concerns.
The good news is that we only have 11 months of the year to endure !!The world is in good shape, airlines are flying, banks are open and for some of us lucky enough to live abroad the sun is shining.
Come and join us even if its only for a holiday and I can ensure that a warm welcome will always be in our office’s wherever you choose to meet us.
Please remember any comments that you may have on how we can improve our newsletter are always welcome write to me directly john@goldacre-estates.com

Real Estate crisis or maybe not....

It seems that when someone panics it becomes a domino effect and everyone panics. The stock market is taking a plunge, interest rates are or will follow, and Real Estate is seeing a part of this effect. But, what are the experts saying? For those who bailed out on the stock market the answer is quite clear, they should have stayed. This is not the worse; in 1987 the Dow Jones fell an astonishing 22.6% in one day! So we are doing fine and stocks will go up, and for those who can buy, now is the time to do it. We all need to think positive. In real estate the same advice applies. Properties are a long term sure investment, though statistics state that property in Greece has not been affected there are stillbargains. Apartments and villas; don’t forget it’s an investment that won’t steer you wrong. Greece is the perfect place to own a vacation home The weather is almost always nice and as for sight seeing and things to do, well that never runs out. Some of the most beautiful islands in the world are located here in Greece, with buying opportunities for all budgets.
Now that winter period is on it’s a perfect opportunity to visit the fantastic ski slopes with their magnificent chalets, or to go sightseeing to one of the many archeological sites that Greece has. We are sure that an experience such as this will be a deciding factor for buying that vacation home you’ve always wanted.
